平安時代のあそび「貝合わせ」を、現代の感性でたのしむワークショップ。
今回は、貝と海をこよなく愛する “ひとでちゃん” 待望のイベントです。

彼女が集めたたくさんの美しい二枚貝にふれながら、
分類学の視点から、二枚貝の魅力をわかりやすく解説してくれます。

そのあとは、貝の内側に自由に絵付け。
ポスカ、マッキー、アクリル、日本画画材(水干絵具)から、
好きな画材を選んで自分だけのオリジナル貝合わせを作ります。

最後は、描いた貝を使って実際に貝合わせ遊びを楽しみましょう！

おいしい緑茶をご用意しています。

KIMONO-FRAMEの販売も同時開催。

Paint, Learn, and Play: A Day of Shell Art for Grown-ups

A hands-on workshop inspired by Kai-awase, a shell-matching game once beloved by the nobility of the Heian era—reimagined with a modern creative twist.

This long-awaited event is led by “Hitode-chan,” a passionate lover of bivalves and the sea.
She will share her collection of beautiful shells and offer clear, fascinating explanations from a taxonomic perspective.

After that, you’ll paint the inside of your shell freely.
We’ll provide a variety of materials including POSCA pens, permanent markers, acrylics, and traditional Japanese pigments (suihi paints).
Choose your favorite medium and create your own one-of-a-kind kai-awase set.

Finally, try playing the shell-matching game with your finished pieces!

We’ll also be serving fine Japanese green tea to enjoy during the session.

KIMONO-FRAME items will be available for purchase at the venue.
